TenCate Targa-light™ shields are constructed from high-performance ceramics with a TenCate Rosist finish. Due to the choice of ceramics, a significantly decrease in weight has been reached while still ensuring the ballistic capabilities. the monolithic ceramics ensures a homogeneous weight distribution throughout the shield.

Protective coatings
The edges are made of resin, which make the shields robust and shock resistant. The shields can also be coated with TenCate Rosist™ in a range of different finishes and fabrics. TenCate Rosist™ is a multi-resistant protective coating that provides TenCate Targa-light™ shields with additional capabilities.
It can withstand the effects of wear and tear, dirt, cleaning, exposure, detergents and decontaminating agents. These features result in a highly durable coating product with low wear and tear, thus ensuring operating costs that comply with customer requirements regarding value for money.
TenCate Rosist™ can be sprayed to provide different surface finishes, ranging from granular to smooth, depending on the specific needs of each customer.
International standards
TenCate Targa-light™ is certified in accordance with international standards as well as specific customer requirements. It provides protection level III and level IV in accordance with the NIJ standard, among others.
