TenCate Advanced Armor presents add on armor level 5 & 6

On Thursday, 8th Nevember, TenCate Advanced Armour made a presentation on our new developments in STANAG 4569 level 5 and 6 passive armour solutions at the annual symposium for the German Defence Industry Association, the Förderkreis Deutsches Heer (FKH). The symposium was hosted by KMW in Munich, where the head of the TenCate Technical Center, Jean Beugels, made a presentation on the New Market Requirements for high end (Kinetic Energy) STANAG 4569 in front of 204 delegates from the German defence industry. The symposium brought together the leading German and European defence OEMs for a detailed briefing and discussion on the developments and requirements for armoured vehicles.

TenCate Advanced Armour's new lv. 5 solutions differentiates itself from all earlier marketed composite lv. 5 solutions as it is in compliance with NATO STANAG lv. 5 and lv. 4. What this means is that it is tested and certified to accommodate threats all the way down through the STANAG's testing protocol. The new technology that lies behind the new lv. 5 solution can also be developed to be in compliance with NATO STANAG 4569 AEP 55 VOL. 1 Level 6, although the final certification of this solution still has to be completed.

The new lv. 5 solution is one of the first tangible products to come out of TenCate Advanced Armour's new TenCate Technical Center (TTC).  The TTC brings together the research and development efforts across EMEA to focus on survivability technology that is currently required by end-users and platform manufacturers.

The specific details regarding TenCate Advanced Armour's NATO STANAG 4569 AEP 55 VOL. 1 Level 5 add-on armour solution are confidential. For more information on the technology, please reach out to your TenCate Advanced Armour contact or contact us through our website.
